Brief summary of a Collective memory

Collective memory first coined by french philosopher Maurice Halbwach’s in 1950 called the La mémoire collective (Paris, 1950). In a rudimentary understanding of the theory, which more than one person experiences the same thing, having a shared experience, classifying,  it in collective memory. Halbwach’s describes the theory as memory being within the same framework culturally , politically ,socio-economical. The framework whatever it may be within the context of the subject, the individual memory is placed within the same framework, that makes a shared inheritance and allows for it to become this shared, mutual experience . in this quote taken from Halbwach’s Book  The Collective Memory  the chapter  “History and memory and Collective memory” :Screen Shot 2014-12-15 at 12.53.25 AM
